Minimum Qualification
Minimum qualification is a pass class in 10th Std. (SSLC) or equivalent examination with minimum 35% marks both in Science and Mathematics.
Eligibility Certificate for out of state students
Students who have studied outside Karnataka state and CBSE candidates will have to obtain Eligibility Certificate from the Secretary, Board of Technical Examination, Palace Road, Bangalore before gaining admission to the Polytechnic.
Reservations
Reservations for Karnataka students and SC/ST are as stipulated by the Director of Technical Education. Students are selected on merit.
Minimum age for Automobile Engineering
For Automobile Engineering course, the candidate should have completed 15 years 6 month on the 1st of July of the academic year.
Course Duration
The courses are of three years duration with 6 Semesters. The Board ofTechnical Examinations, Dept of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka holds the Semester Examinations at the end of every 6 months for 3 years. In addition, 3 Sessionals in each Semester will be conducted and the Internal Assessment marks will be added to final exam mark sheet.

Scholarships
Manipal University has come up with the new scheme called “Scho|arship for Academy of General Education Students (SAGES)” to provide scholarships, and our students who wish to join Manipal Institute of Technology, for lateral entry to B.E. courses, are eligible to avail this scholarship as per their norms.
